The Woven Wild Podcast
Welcome to the Woven Wild Podcast — a soul sanctuary for the witches, the wild ones, the highly sensitive women who feel everything, see beneath the surface, and know they were born for something more. We are hearing the calling—to return to our bodies, to the ancient ways of knowing, to live in deep relationship with the land, the elements, and the source of our divinity. “Highly sensitive person” might be one label we wear, but we are not here to fit into categories. We are here to remember. Far from being fragile or too much, we hold the ancient memory of power and liberation that courses through our blood. This podcast is for the women who do not function in the systems they were born into—women who have been told they are broken, but who are in fact brimming with untapped magic. You are not a failure. You are a creator. And in order to create, you must reclaim your energy, your worth, your body, and your truth. The calling—to heal, to seek, to create—is calling you. Woven Wild is your invitation to unlearn the patterns of disempowerment, root into your body’s wisdom, and reclaim your role as the sovereign leader of your life. Here, we talk about trauma healing, witch hunts, intuition, menstrual reclamation, power, purpose, self-trust, cyclical living, and the wild intelligence of your sensitivity. Hosted by Islay, a women’s empowerment coach, political science scholar, trauma-informed yoga teacher, and lifelong devotee to healing, this space blends embodied wisdom with radical truth-telling to support your most liberated life. You were never meant to shrink. You were meant to rise—sensual, sovereign, and wildly free.

This episode is for the women who know, deep down, that they’re here for more, who are here to break cycles and are devoted to living in alignment with their soul’s purpose.
But how do we actually know what our purpose is?
Purpose reveals itself through devotion—through the choice to pursue it before you fully understand it. In this episode, we explore what that devotion looks like, and how to begin.
We talk about what it takes to meet your authentic needs, how nervous system healing helps you build self-trust, and why learning to follow your desires is a direct path to discovering your purpose. This journey is the work of inner child healing and reparenting—learning to become the woman who can meet herself with deep attention, care, and self-validation.
This is how we break the cycle. This is how we become powerful. This is how we set ourselves free.

In this episode, I share how doing things most people would consider “fucking up”—like dating a guy who told me he was schizophrenic and had been addicted to crack—has actually been the key ingredient of my liberation. The stories I used to feel ashamed of became my greatest teachers. They led me home to myself and helped build the kind of inner strength and confidence that only comes from lived experience.
I talk about how, throughout this journey, I realized that I’m an artist. For me, being an artist means feeling deeply connected to life and expressing what I feel through the choices I make—choices guided by my soul’s desires and inner knowing. My whole life is art. And I believe all women on the path of liberation are inherently artists. We’re the ones questioning what is and choosing to create something different—something that actually aligns with our bodies, hearts, and souls.
For thousands of years, women have been conditioned to be “good girls,” and that conditioning keeps us small and sick. But it’s through fucking around and finding out that we discover what freedom really means to us.

What if the calling heals—not because it’s easy, but because it asks everything of you?
What if it peels away the layersof who you thought you had to beand hands you back to yourself?
What if it doesn’t come with a mapbut with a mirror,so you can meet the version of youyou were always meant to become?
Witches—we are hearing the calling. To return to our bodies. To remember the ancient ways of knowing. To live in deep relationship with land, with elements, with the source of our divinity.
Highly sensitive personis one label we may carry, but we are not here to be defined by labels. We are here to remember. To feel deeply, sense clearly, and lead wisely. We are not fragile—we are finely attuned.Far from being powerless,we hold ancient memoryof power, of liberation,of the wild wisdom that courses through our blood.
In this episode, we delve into the profound trait of high sensitivity, exploring how it shapes your life pathand connects you to your soul’s mission.
Through the lens of W.I.T.C.H.—What If The Calling Heals—we illuminate the evolutionary significance of your sensitivityand invite you into a transformative journey.
Together, we’ll explore why your depth of feelingisn’t a flaw, but a gift—a compass pointing you toward your purpose.
The calling—to heal, to seek, to create—it is calling you.And perhaps, it’s not just something you answer.Perhaps it’s something that answers youthe moment you choose to trust your sensitivityas the source of your leadership, your magic, and your truth.

In this episode I explore the idea of pain as a portal—an invitation to deeper wisdom, growth, and transformation.
I share my personal journey with PMDD, how it cracked me open, and what I discovered when I stopped fighting my body and started listening. I talk about the ways pain is pathologized in our culture and what shifts when we approach it as a guide rather than something to fix or escape.
Pain is deep medicine that holds the potential to lead you to uncovering your most liberated and authentic self.

In this episode, we explore the power of living in sync with your menstrual cycle—not as a trend, but as a path of personal transformation and self-leadership.
I offer a mini course on cyclical living and how working with your cycle can support your creativity, your energy, and your ability to move toward what you truly want.
We’re not meant to operate the same way every day. Real consistency comes from knowing how to listen to your body, honor its changing needs, and adapt with care.
I guide you through the four phases of the menstrual cycle, each one mirroring the seasons of nature—winter, spring, summer, and fall—and show you how each phase holds its own wisdom and power.
This episode is a practical and soulful introduction to cycle syncing and the deeper freedom that comes from living in alignment with your body’s natural rhythm.

This episode dives into the messy, beautiful journey of healing from unhealthy relationships and codependency. I get real about the impact of generational trauma and societal conditioning on women’s sense of self-worth. Through my own experiences of navigating toxic relationships, I share how those patterns shape how we see ourselves and how deeply they affect our emotional well-being.
I talk about the importance of reclaiming your body and setting boundaries that actually honor who you are, so that you can actually know what it feels like to be treated with great reverence and respect, or in other words, sacredly. This is about reconnecting with your true essence, stepping into your intuition, and trusting that it's always there, guiding you.
If you've ever felt trapped in cycles of emotional dependency or doubted your own feelings, this episode is for you. I want to remind you that you don’t need to prove anything to anyone. If you feel it, you know. Trust yourself, trust your body, and reclaim your power.
This episode is a love letter to all the women out there ready to break free, step into their truth, and start living a life that's theirs. Because you deserve to be treated sacredly—always.

Today we are diving deep into the raw, transformative journey of reclaiming ourselves—our truth, our power, our connection to nature, the cosmos, and life itself. This is about unlearning the conditioning that has kept us disconnected from ourselves, breaking free from the roles we were taught to play, and stepping into full creative sovereignty. At the heart of this journey is internal authority—the cultivated capacity to trust ourselves to lead from within, to make decisions rooted in our own truth, intuition, and wisdom, without relying on external validation or permission.
I share The Bridge Poem by Donna Kate Rushin, a piece that speaks directly to the weight so many of us carry and the liberation that comes when we choose to no longer be a conduit for everything and everyone else—when we instead become a bridge back to our own souls. You can read the full poem here.
Listening back to this episode moved me to tears. This conversation is a call to remember who we are beyond survival, beyond what we’ve been told, and to step into a life led from within. In this very first episode, I finally sat down to record the podcast I’ve been dreaming about for so long. This is The Origin Story—how I got here, why I do this work, and why I’m so devoted to it. I never planned to become a coach. I never set out to heal trauma or to liberate myself as a woman. I never imagined I’d be a singer-songwriter. But life had other plans. I take you back to where it all started: a struggling university student, caught in cycles of self-doubt and unhealthy coping mechanisms, trying to find my place in the world. I share the pivotal moments—traveling, studying, breaking down, rebuilding—and how, piece by piece, I found myself on this path of deep healing, embodiment, and creative expression. I moved from feeling trapped in the system to stepping fully into my power as a liberated woman and artist. This episode tells that story. The quote I mentioned: “It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.” — Jiddu Krishnamurti Note: I am turning 30 years old this year — I said I was turning 29!
